Man arrested after Tidworth assault
Police called to incident in Pennings Road area
A man has been arrested following an assault in Tidworth.
An investigation's underway after the incident which happened in the early hours of Saturday morning (19 March). Police have made one arrest.
Officers were called to the Pennings Road area shortly after 1.15am following a report that a man in his 20s had been assaulted.
The victim was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by ambulance with a suspected head injury and has since been discharged.
A local man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and he remains in custody in Melksham for questioning.
A cordon was put in place in the area while enquiries were conducted but this has since been lifted.
