Man questioned by police after crashing into The Poultry Cross

In the early hours of this morning (21/05) officers attempted to stop the man, in his 20's, who was driving an Audi A3. After a short pursuit, the vehicle collided with The Poultry Cross, causing damage to both the vehicle and the building

He's now being questioned on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, driving whilst over the prescribed limit for alcohol and criminal damage.
