Man admits deliberately driving car into Salisbury pedestrians

A Wiltshire man's admitted deliberately driving into two pedestrians close to Salisbury train station.

22 year old Braden Lynam, from Woodborough Close in Trowbridge, has appeared at Winchester Crown Court today (Wednesday 30th April).

He pleaded guilty to inflicting GBH with intent, ABH, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Lynam will be sentenced on 4th July.

What happened?

The collision happened on South Western Road on 27th March, after Lynam had been involved in a physical altercation with a man in his 40s.

A woman in her 20s attempted to break up the fight.

Lynam then got into his car and drove at high speed towards to pair in retaliation.

The man suffered life-changing injuries, with the woman also seriously hurt.

Lynam didn't stop at the scene, continuing onto Churchfields Road, and abandoning his vehicle.

He was eventually arrested three days later on March 31st, following an appeal by police.
