Man admits to number of Wiltshire shoplifting offences
Mark Parker has been banned from entering a number of Wiltshire stores
A man who admitted to numerous counts of theft from shops in Wiltshire has been banned from entering a number of stores.
Mark Parker, of no fixed abode, has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) in an effort to prevent him reoffending.
All of his offences took place in Chippenham and Trowbridge, with the CBO barring him from going into:
- B&M Stores, Hathaway Retail Park, Chippenham
- Savers, Market Place, Chippenham
- Sports Direct, The Gateway, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge
- Co-Op store in Trowbridge or Chippenham
- Marks and Spencer, Cradle Bridge Retail Park, Trowbridge
- The Shires Shopping Centre, Trowbridge
- Budgens, Hackett Place, Trowbridge
Sgt Charley Chilton said: “Parker was arrested and charged with theft by shoplifting in February. Since then he has continued his atrocious behaviour by continuing to steal, and be threatening towards members of staff.
"A Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) is put in place to protect those retailers and their staff and try to reduce re-offending. If Parker breaches any of the conditions imposed, he commits a criminal offence and is liable to arrest and once again he will be put before the courts.
“The restrictions imposed on him sends out a clear message that this type of anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and we will seek similar conditions against others if proportionate to do so.”
