The Memorial Hall on Andover Road has become the 27th vaccine centre across the Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath and North East Somerset CCG area.

The service there is being run by the team from The Pharmacy on Central Street - but they've using the hall due to a lack of space in the pharmacy itself.

Ibrahim Kadri, Superintendent Pharmacist at the Ludgershall site, said:

"We are excited to be part of the latest stage of the vaccination programme.

"We have been here for our patients throughout these difficult times and will carry on doing whatever we can in order to move forward."

The Ludgershall vaccine centre joins others locally like Salisbury City Hall, the Cathedral, Wilton's Michael Herbert Hall and Tidworth Leisure Centre.

VACCINE ROLL OUT GOING WELL

Figures from the local CCG show that 100,000 people in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire have now had a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

Invites for the jabs are now starting to be expanded, with people in the 70 to 79 age bracket getting notifications for their appointments.

We're being reminded that we should wait to be called forward for a vaccine, and not to worry about being forgotten - you will be contacted.

The first vaccine session took place on the 16th January

Wiltshire's NHS bosses also say that they're 'making good progress' in vaccinating those eligible for the jabs so far.

They're also assuring us that they're 'on track' to reach the Government target of vaccinating everyone in the top four priority groups by the middle of February.
