The A30 London Road near Laverstock has been blocked this morning (Friday 3rd May) due to a lorry getting stuck under the railway bridge.

The driver is said to be unhurt but is likely to face a fine for careless driving.

The lorry has been recovered from the scene, with the road now reopened (as of 12.30pm).

South Western Railway services were affected for a time, due to trains having to slow right down to go over the bridge where the lorry was stuck.

All the lines are now running normally.

Wiltshire Police have thanked drivers for their patience while the incident was ongoing.
