Longleat's set to host the UK's biggest annual hot air balloon event next month.

More than 100 will take to Wiltshire's skies between Friday 9th and Sunday 11th September.

The Sky Safari - as it's called - is now in its fifth year.

More than 100 hot air balloons will take to the skies around Longleat in early September

What to expect

There'll be mass daily launches, night glows set to music and activities like model balloons and street entertainment.

Colourful balloons of all shapes and sizes will be on display, including one of Longleat's very own lion, koala, cheetah, wolf and penguin.

The night glows are among the most popular parts of the Sky Safari

For the first time, there'll be an extra night glow on the Sunday night.

Admission to the Sky Safari is part of a day ticket to the Wiltshire attraction.

Advance booking is recommended though, as it's likely to be busy.

Balloon launches are weather dependent, with some displays liable to be cancelled or postponed.

The festival is the biggest gathering of hot air balloons in the UK
