Longleat Safari Park announces death of popular sea lion

He will be missed by all

Wiltshire's safari park has revealed that its much loved sea lion, Buster, has died at the age of 26.

Longleat announced the sad news on its social media posting a video of the popular character and describing him as 'larger than life.'

Buster had enthralled visitors to the estate over the many years prompting fans to post heartfelt tributes.

One social media user wrote;

"We’ve been going to Longleat for 20 years and we can always remember Buster. Such a great character. So sorry for your loss!"

Another commented;

"Such sad news. He was certainly larger than life, both in character, and in stature. My heartfelt condolences go out to all the keepers who had the pleasure of working with him over the years. You will be missed you beautiful big fella."

Whilst another described him as a king;

"The king of half mile lake….he was such a presence. My condolences to all of you."
