APPEAL: Lead and copper stolen from three houses in Bulford
The properties were being refurbished at the time
Lead and copper has been stolen from three unoccupied houses in Bulford.
The properties were being refurbished in Milston Road when they were broken into at some point over the weekend (21st and 22nd March).
Copper tanks and piping and lead from the top of the garages were taken.
A "considerable amount" of damage was also caused by water being let out of the tanks.
An appeal has now been issued by Wiltshire Police in hopes someone may have witnessed something suspicious in the area at the time.
PC Lyndsey Smith, from the Amesbury Area Community Policing Team, said:
"Although these houses are currently unoccupied they are being refurbished and these burglaries have caused a considerable amount of disruption and frustration.
Due to the fact that the copper tanks were removed, the offender or offenders would have been in the properties for a considerable amount of time, so there is a possibility that passers-by will have noticed something.
If you were in the area of the weekend and witnessed anything suspicious then please call us."
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Smith on 101, quoting crime reference 54210027027.
