Last chance to register to vote in local elections in Wiltshire and Hampshire

Clocks ticking if you want to have your say on May 6th

You have until midnight tonight (19th April ) to register to vote in the local elections on May 6th and you can do that here https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

In Wiltshire elections will include all 98 seats in the unitary divisons as well as town and parishes.

You can see who has been nominated by clicking here.

Voters will also choose a new Police and Crime Commissioner, six candidates are standing and you can find out who they are by visiting choosemypcc.org.uk.

In Hampshire elections will take place for the county council, and the Police and Crime Commissioner with four candidates .

District, borough and town and parish council elections are only taking place in some areas.

SAFEST WAY TO VOTE IS BY POST

Given the ongoing pandemic, Wiltshire Council's Returning Officer wants as many people as possible to vote by post if they can, as this is the safest and most convenient way for people to have their say.

You have until 5pm on the 20th of April to register to vote by post which you can do by visiting the Government website.

Given the amount of elections and COVID measures required, the count of the ballots will take place from 7 to 10 May.
