A man has been banned from the roads for 18 months after pleading guilty to drink driving.

In June of this year police were called to a report of a disorder at Primrose Place, Durrington, and were told that a man had left the scene in his vehicle.

Officers swiftly located the vehicle in The Old Dairy, Amesbury, and the driver, 23-year-old Beckham Taylor, was arrested after failing a breath test.

Enquiries also established he was a provisional licence holder and was not being supervised at the time.

Taylor, of Dixon Close, Larkhill, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court yesterday (18th October) and pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance.

He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £300, and ordered to pay £119 in costs and surcharges.
