Land Rover owners in South Wiltshire and West Hampshire are being urged to be vigilant after another vehicle was stolen.

The silver Land Rover Defender 110 was taken from the driveway of a home in Whitsbury near Fordingbridge on Thursday evening (31st March) along with a 14 foot trailer and stump grinder.

Thieves damaged the family's car as they made their escape from Rockbourne Road around 11.20pm.

Robert Heron told Greatest Hits Radio Salisbury;

"They just rammed my wife's car, writing it off. I always block my Land Rover in with another vehicle as a safety measure."

The theft has had a big impact on Robert, a tree surgeon, who runs a garden maintenance company;

"I'm self employed and I'm now struggling. The vehicle is also the last thing my Gran helped me buy so it has sentimental value too."

The vehicle has the registration plate RA57 EDU and Robert and his family hope someone may have spotted or heard something.

The Land Rover pictured towing a trailer is crucial to Robert's work as a tree surgeon.
