Could KFC be opening in Salisbury?
The chicken chain is a hot topic
Rumours circulating on a social media site say KFC could be coming to Salisbury.
People thought it would be replacing the Burger King store on the High Street which closed last year with the building going up for rent.
But, the fast food outlet have confirmed to Greatest Hits Radio Salisbury that they are NOT opening a new restaurant there.
A KFC Spokesperson said: “Hold your horses! The Colonel loves Salisbury and we’re always on the lookout for new sites but nothing’s confirmed yet so watch this space!”
The branch had a chain previously in the city, it closed in the early 90's.
The location has been taken off the company's website.
Meanwhile, we contacted Burger King to confirm if the restaurant will be reopening but they said they won't be commenting.
