Kerbside battery recycling begins in Wiltshire
Household batteries to be collected by Wiltshire Council recycling service

From today, Monday 5 December 2022, small household batteries will be collected as part of Wiltshire Council's kerbside recycling service.
You can put small household batteries in clear, sealed sandwich bags on top of your blue lidded bin and they will be collected for recycling.
The batteries you can put out for collection are ‘D’, ‘C’, ‘AA’, ‘AAA’, 9V and button-type batteries, and these will be kept separate from other recyclable materials on board the collection vehicles.
The Council says to ensure minimal use of plastic bags, don't put batteries out for collection until you have enough to fill a sandwich bag. Make sure the bag can be securely closed. Place the bag on top of your blue-lidded bin or beside your blue recycling sack so that the collection crew can see them.
Do NOT put batteries, or the filled bag of batteries, in the bin. Do not place one or two batteries out for collection as there is a risk the bag could blow away.
The Council will not collect certain types of batteries including: car batteries, E-Scooter batteries, motorbike batteries, and items with integral batteries such as electric toothbrush, mobile phones.
