Despite the inclement weather last weekend, the annual Jestival at Jacksplace young adults’ hospice was a “fantastic day”.

The event featured live music, a barbeque, as well as a variety of fun activities.

Play and Activities Team Leader, Claire Potterton, said: “We brought the festival indoors this year and went all out with decorations, creating different areas for all our festival activities.”

Claire said the young adults, families and staff embraced the festival theme of singing, dancing and dressing up.

She added: “Everyone had a blast from start to finish. Dancing, singing, headbands flashing and silly props galore! It was such an uplifting, happy atmosphere with everyone involved enjoying the company of each other.”
