It's beginning to look a bit like Christmas in Salisbury!
Work has started to get the city looking a bit festive.
Last updated 1st Oct 2020
It may only be the start of October, but the Christmas lights have been put up in Salisbury today.
The usual festive themed lighting has gone up across the city centre, including Fisherton Street, Castle Street and the High Street.
Along many of the shop buildings there have also been mini Christmas trees installed.
No date has been confirmed for when the lights will be switched on, but Salisbury City Council's usual public event, which traditionally takes places in the middle of November, is unlikely to go ahead as normal this year.
We're expecting a further update next week.
NO XMAS FAYRE
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Christmas events are going to look a little different in Salisbury this year.
There will be no Christmas Fayre in the Guildhall Square, which includes the ice rink.
There are plans for some small festive treats, but these are yet to be announced.
Last year's market was voted as the third best in Europe.
