Actor James Buckley, best known for his role as Jay in the TV show 'The Inbetweeners', is going to be taking part in a fundraising event for Naomi House and Jacksplace.

He's lending a helping hand to the Hampshire charity by getting involved with their virtual 'Game On!' initiative.

James will be live streaming on the platform Twitch next Friday (26th March) and will be encouraging viewers to donate to him, with all the money going to the children's hospice charity.

Connor Phillips, Event Organiser at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

"We're so excited to bring Game On! back for the third year running, featuring the one and only James Buckley! To have someone on-board who is so well known, has such a successful Twitch channel and is able to tell his community about our hospices is honestly a dream come true! On behalf of everyone at the hospices, we want to thank James for his involvement and support in making this event a success. We hope his involvement will raise our charity's profile in the gaming world and encourage a few donations at the same time.

Whether you're a fully-fledged streamer or fairly new to gaming, we'd love for you to join James and get involved in Game On! You can make the event your own by dedicating a few hours each night or attempt to take on a 24hr marathon, the choice is yours! The only requirements are to have some fun gaming, spread the word about Naomi House & Jacksplace and encourage your followers to donate to our cause!"

James will be live streaming on his channel, which is called 'Completed It Mate'.

Game On! has taken part for a few years now and encourages individuals and groups to play some games while raising a few quid.

It has raised over £10,000 for the hospices over the past two years thanks to the commitment of local gamers.

All the money goes towards the charity's work in providing respite, emergency and end of life care to life limited and life threatened children, young adults and their families.

It costs them £9.2 million to run every year.
