Improvements to Salisbury's Churchill Gardens start next month
The Southampton Road pedestrian entrance will be closed for three months
Improvements to Churchill Gardens in Salisbury have been announced by the City Council.
From 2nd September, work will begin to resurface the Southampton Road pedestrian entrance by the toilets, with an anticipated completion of 2nd December.
The project will see damaged paving slabs removed and new tarmac pathways and green spaces installed in their place. Additional trees will be planted, in line with the council's Tree & Ecosystem Strategy commitment to increase canopy cover across the city.
Throughout the works, the paths around the Southampton Road entrance will be fenced off and no pedestrian access available.
Visitors are encouraged to use alternative routes around the park.
Access to the toilets and water fountain at this entrance will be temporarily unavailable during the construction period.
Park visitors are also advised that Kiwi Coffee will be temporarily relocated elsewhere within the park, and to check their Facebook page for updates.
