A series of visits by Father Christmas to parts of South Wiltshire in the run-up to the festive season has brought thousands of pounds in to a local charity.

The Santa Sleigh Runs, organised by the elves at Idmiston have collectively raised £4,356 for Salisbury Hospice.

The Santa Sleigh Runs will return for Christmas 2024

The trips saw the sleigh pulled around local estates and locations for families to see.

Lights and music heralded the festive arrival, with bucket collections along the way for the charity.

A cheque for the total raised has now been handed to Salisbury Hospice, towards their work caring for terminally ill patients, both on site and in the community, as well as support for their families.

The Idmiston group of volunteers have already promised they'll be back next year too.
