Pony killed by car on Roger Penny Way in New Forest
Police have re-issued a plea to keep livestock safe

Another animal has been killed by a car travelling on Roger Penny Way at Godshill on Friday night (9th December.)
Police say the car travelling towards Cadnam was distracted by headlights of an on coming vehicle and then collided with a pony.
The pony went over the roof and was killed outright.
The couple in the car survived without any injuries whilst the vehicle was written off.
SAFETY PLEA: Be more aware of livestock
Police have re-issued a safety please to keep animals in the New Forest safe.
Livestock can be hard to see but they have a right of way in the National Park and are drawn to roads and verges.
No matter how experienced a driver extra caution on rural road's will reduce risk and improve safety for everyone.
Drivers should slow down to 10 miles an hour leaving a 2 metre gap while passing livestock on the road.

Ringwood Police say: "In this case the driver remained at scene, reported immediately to police and correctly provided details to agister.
