Horatio's Garden in Salisbury is to open to the public for guided tours the very first time.

On selected dates from April to September, we can book a spot on one of the tours of the award-winning garden at Salisbury District Hospital - the first of the seven gardens to open.

The first tour in Salisbury is on Thursday 11th April at 10am.

The tours will be led by Head Gardener Lucy Thorpe and allow an opportunity for visitors to experience the restorative sanctuary which supports the wellbeing of people after life-changing spinal injuries.

The garden at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Unit at SDH opened back in 2012

Visitors will also learn about the charity's plans to grow a garden at all 11 NHS spinal injury centres across the country.

Tours cost £20 and will include hot drinks and homemade cake, with a selection of merchandise and plants available for purchase, all of which will support the charity's work supporting patients and their loves ones rebuilding their lives after injuring their spine.

Dr Olivia Chapple, Founder & Chair of Trustees of Horatio’s Garden said:

“Led by our brilliant team of Head Gardeners, the tours will offer a rare opportunity to discover these beautiful, award-winning gardens created by world class designers and see how these environments can have a huge impact in supporting physical and mental health.”

We can book a space on a tour via the Horatio's Garden website.
