The Hawk Conservancy Trust at Weyhill has added two new birds of prey to their flying display team, but visitors will need to keep a close eye on them!

A pair of Little Owl chicks are just four weeks old, and at just 150g each are almost fully grown.

They're only about as big as half an apple and are called Cheddar and Mozzarella, as all the charity's new arrivals are being named on a cheese theme this year!

The team at the West Hampshire trust are training up the owls to develop their flying skills and will become part of the daily displays for guests.

Before that, they can be seen in the outside aviary.

Hawk Conservancy Trust CEO Penny Smout said:

“By sharing our fascination and love for birds of prey with visitors, we aim also to help educate as many people as possible about the need for conservation and our work both in the UK and overseas.

"The adorable Cheddar and Mozzarella duo will surely help us win hearts and minds to keep aloft support for our endeavours.”
