Hampshire PCSO pleads guilty to attempting to engage girl in sexual activity
29 year old Daniel Carlson will be sentenced next month
A Hampshire Police Community Support Officer has pleaded guilty to attempting to engage a teenage girl in sexual activity.
Daniel Mark Carlson from Bishop's Waltham is alleged to have attempted to engage a girl in sexual communication between July 10th and August 9th this year.
The 29-year-old admitted two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and two counts of attempting to cause or incite a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity at Poole Magistrates' Court.
His case was adjourned for sentencing at Bournemouth Crown Court on September 13th and he was remanded in custody until then.
A Hampshire Police spokesman said:
"A man has pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
"Daniel Mark Carlson, 29, was charged with two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and two counts of attempting to cause or incite a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity after an investigation by our Internet Child Abuse Team.
"He is a serving Police Community Support Officer and has been suspended from duty.
"The offences took place between July 10 and August 9 this year. It is alleged there was communication sent while he was on duty. This was not done using police devices."
