Gang of men stealing dogs in Wiltshire
Owners urged to 'beware' and keep their pets indoors.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after reports about a group of men travelling around parts of the county attempting to steal pet dogs.
On Wednesday this week (18 Nov 2020) a green/silver coloured Suzuki 4x4 - possibly a Vitara model - was seen driving around the Shalbourne, Bedwyn, Bagshot and Hungerford area.
The occupants were trying to take dogs from kennels, gardens and back yards of addresses.
In some cases a suspect would ring the front door bell, while another would go round the back of the property to try and steal the animals.
CALL FOR VIGILANCE
Police are asking people to be vigilant and keep their dogs locked inside the house or ensure their kennels are safe and secure.
