Naomi House & Jacksplace's virtual gaming event launches today and it's back for the third year in a row.

Game On! Is the hospice's virtual fundraiser encouraging individuals and groups to play games while raising some money.

It starts today (Friday 26th March) and runs for a week.

This year a special guest is lending a helping hand to the Hampshire charity by getting involved in the event.

It has raised over £10,000 for the hospices over the past two years thanks to the commitment of local gamers.

Connor Phillips, Event Organiser at Naomi House & Jacksplace said: "We are so excited to bring Game On! back for its third successful year. This year, we want to raise £5,000 from Game On! which could fund over 200 hours of care at our hospices, and with the help of the gaming community, we know we can get there.

"So, we're calling on all local gamers to gather their friends, stream online, spread awareness of our charity and encourage followers to donate via Twitch, Facebook, JustGiving, or whatever platform best suits them.

"Gaming has been an important part of many people's lives over the past year, so whether you're someone who games on your own or with friends, why not join us and help the children, young adults and families in our care?"

This year, Actor, James Buckley, best known for his role as Jay in the TV show 'The Inbetweeners', is going to be taking part in the event.

James will be live streaming on the platform Twitch next Friday (26th March) and will be encouraging viewers to donate to him, with all the money going to the children's hospice charity.

He will be live streaming on his channel, which is called 'Completed It Mate'.

All the money goes towards the charity's work in providing respite, emergency and end of life care to life limited and life threatened children, young adults and their families.

Naomi House and Jacksplace costs £9.2 million to run each year.
