Further tests needed to establish how man died in Coombe Bissett

Police were called to a property in Thorne Close on Friday

Police are continuing to investigate the death of a man in Coombe Bissett.

Officers attended a property in Thorne Close at approximately 3pm on January 4 following a report that a man in his 50s had been found with serious injuries. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man died at the scene.

A post mortem has now taken place and was undetermined with further tests required.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said:

"A woman in her 40s who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released from custody in Swindon’s Gablecross Police Station on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

"The cordon that was put in place at the address has been lifted."

Enquiries remain ongoing.
