A local sportswoman from Salisbury is to receive a support grant thanks to the money raised at the Wiltshire Business and Sports Gala Dinner.
The event raises money for the Funding Future Olympians and Paralympians Foundation.
Over £60,000 was raised by two auctions to support local sports.
The event also featured Olympic gold medallist Steve Backley OBE as a guest speaker.
Lucy-Jane Matthews is among ten recipients of the £1,000 grant and is the only athlete from Salisbury to do so.
Leader of Wiltshire Council Cllr Richard Clewer, said: “Each year I am inspired by the dedication and commitment of the inspirational athletes at the Wiltshire Business and Sports Gala Dinner.
“They have some wonderful stories of sporting success to share, and thanks to our Funding Future Olympians and Paralympians Foundation, they will have many more successes to come.”
