Fuel siphoned from HGVs on South Wiltshire A303 laybys

In one case, 270 litres of fuel was taken near Solstice Park

A spate of incidents on the A303 has seen hundreds of litres of fuel siphoned out of HGVs in South Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Police say the five cases reported all happened between July 4th and 6th, between 11.00pm and 6.00am each night, while the drivers were asleep in cabs.

The vehicles has all been parked up in laybys between Amesbury and Warminster.

In one case, 270 litres of fuel was siphoned out of a tractor's tank while it was parked up three miles away from Solstice Park.

Officers also believe there may have been further incidents that haven't been reported to them as yet.
