Three sports and activity sessions are being planned in Salisbury for the first week of the school Easter holidays.

The City Council's Community Activity Leaders are organising them for Bemerton Heath, Harnham and Churchill Gardens.

They'll be similar to other sports days held in previous school breaks, with young people aged 7 to 14 able to try out things like football, hockey, basketball, cricket, tchoukball and more.

The sessions are all FREE to take part in and children can just turn up on the day to get involved.

They're being held at:

  • Bemerton Heath, Pinewood Way - Monday 11th April from 1.00 – 4.00pm
  • Harnham Recreation Ground - Tuesday 12th April from 1.00 – 4.00pm
  • Churchill Gardens - Thursday 13th April from 1.00 – 4.00pm

Salisbury City Council have explained why the sessions are being arranged:

"It is important to us that this fun opportunity to socialise and try new things welcomes as many young people as possible. So get in touch if you have any access needs and we are happy to talk about how you can take part."

You can find out more by contacting the Community Activity Leaders on 01722 417100 or by emailing bhc@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk

Consent forms will also need to be completed by parents or guardians at each event, with emergency contact details.
