Four ponies killed on New Forest road in ten days

Police say a man has come forward after two ponies were killed in a hit and run crash in the New Forest.

The foal and adult pony died in a crash on the B3054 between Beaulieu and Lymington on Monday night.

The foal's mother was injured.

Four ponies have been killed on a one mile stretch of the road in ten days.

Hampshire Police said no arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning (September 6th) and that they were continuing investigations.

A reward of £5,000 has been offered for information.

In Facebook post, New Forest Roads Awareness said: "What on earth are people thinking? You know the animals are on the road, but still people are not driving with care."
