Four vehicle crimes across New Forest in one night being linked
Hampshire Police think all the incidents are connected
Four reports of vehicle crimes across the New Forest during one night are being linked by police.
Among the incidents, all reported on Sunday night (5th February), was the theft of two blue Yamaha motorbikes from an outbuilding at Fountain Court in Bramshaw.
They were taken at some point between 10.00 and 10.45pm that night, with two suspects seen leaving the area towards the main road.
Hampshire Police are linking those thefts with an incident in Turf Court in Burley.
At around 10.00pm on the same night, two men were disturbed while it's believed they were attempting to steal equipment from a farm.
The suspects made off towards a nearby red 4x4, possibly a Toyota, and were driven away by a third person.
Around the same time, a grey Volkswagen Golf was stolen from a driveway of Cuffnells Gritnam Road in Bank, Lyndhurst.
Police Sergeant Rob Ford said:
“We would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in those areas at the relevant times – even if you think it’s something small, it could prove to be an invaluable piece of information.
“Perhaps you were driving in these areas and have dash cam footage of the red 4x4, a blue Mazda, or a grey Volkswagen?
“Our team are working hard to identify those responsible for rural crimes in our area, if you have any information at all please call us on 101 with reference 44230050441.”
