Fordingbridge teen sentenced over incident in Downton

It follows a crash involving four vehicles in the village in July.

19 year-old Joshua Archer has been banned from driving for 15 months after colliding with a number of cars while over the legal alcohol limit in Downton on July 19th.

The teenager from Fordingbridge crashed a black Vauxhall into a black Ford and two parked vehicles in the Borough, before one car then struck a house.

Archer was arrested at the scene and charged with drink driving, which he later pleaded guilty to.

He has also been ordered to carry out unpaid work for 150 hours, pay a victim surcharge of £95 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

FURTHER INCIDENTS

While in Salisbury Magistrates, Archer was also sentenced for two additional incidents.

He pleaded guilty to affray after an incident on February 8th 2019 where a 15 year-old boy was attacked in the car park underneath Sainsbury's in Salisbury.

A 14 year-old and 17 year-old were also arrested on suspicion of affray, but cannot be named for legal reasons.

Archer was given 150 hours of unpaid work.

Meanwhile, he also pleaded guilty to a charge of assault by beating.

Once again he was ordered to carry out unpaid work for 150 hours after assaulting a police officer in custody.

This incident happened on July 2nd 2020 in after he was arrested for being drunk and disorderly by making abusive 999 calls.

The drunk and disorderly charge was later withdrawn.
