Fordingbridge independent school gets approval for new building

Forres Sandle Manor is to get a STEAM block

A Fordingbridge school has got permission to construct what they're calling a groundbreaking new building for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics lessons.

The new STEAM building at Forres Sandle Manor's been given approval by New Forest District Council.

It'll include three specialist Science labs, to give students with hands-on learning experiences in various scientific disciplines.

A DT hub with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) suite is also planned along with a new School Library and multiple Art Studios with gallery space.

Headmaster Mark Howe said:

"Forres Sandle Manor is currently enjoying one of the most exciting periods in its long and distinguished history. In recent years our school has expanded considerably and this world-class facility will ensure that we can fulfil my ambitions and offer our pupils outstanding practical facilities to complement our superb teaching body.

"I believe it will truly enable all our pupils to fulfil their potential and be further inspired to become the best versions of themselves."

Construction of the new STEAM building is set to commence in the coming months.
