Fordingbridge driver caught for string of offences

No insurance, no road tax, and a pre school child stood between driver and front seat passenger

Police spotted the vehicle in Ringwood but the driver tried to escape by turning onto a nearby industrial estate.

Officers were concerned because they could see a small child, unrestrained, standing between the front two seats.

When officers finally caught and checked the driver and vehicle they found it had have no insurance or current car tax.

The Fordingbridge motorist's car was seized by Hampshire Police

The car was recovered by professional team from RD Avery at owners expense (£150 recovery & £20 per day storage).

The car's owner has been given a penalty ticket for £300 and 6 points which will need to be disclosed to their insurance provider before their car is released from the pound.

Always use an appropriate childseat and buckle children in securely

Hampshire Police have said:

"Cars are expensive children are priceless. There is no excuse for failing to keep them safe. Always use an appropriate childseat and buckle them up to prevent avoidable tragedies. Humans don't dent they die."
