Two businesses in Fordingbridge were broken into over the weekend with an attempt made on a third.

The Cottage Loaf was targeted just after 4am yesterday (March 13th) with CCTV footage capturing two suspects inside the store.

Scones and hot cross buns were taken.

The Dolls House Tea Rooms on Bridge Street was also broken into with its door again smashed to gain entry.

A till containing a quantity of cash and a number of vouchers were stolen.

The break-in was discovered at 8am on Sunday when staff turned up for work.

Hampshire Police say an attempt was also made to gain entry to Carl Hillwood Hair and Beauty salon on the High Street between 8pm on Saturday (12 March) and 8am on Sunday (13th March).

A front door was smashed, but the offenders did not gain entry.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police told Greatest Hits Radio:

"At the moment, the officers involved in the investigation are keeping an open-mind as to the possibility given the close proximity, but nothing has been linked at this time. Enquiries remain ongoing. "

Anyone with any information should call Police on 101.
