Emergency gas repairs saw the road closed on Saturday

We're told to expect Fisherton Street in Salisbury to reopen today after emergency gas works this week.

Engineers identified a gas leak in the middle of the road on Saturday 20th April, with the road being closed at the roundabout of Dew Road and South Western Road to allow repairs to be completed safely.

A single diversion route was put in place for motorists.

SGN have told us that 'all being well' the road should return to it's one-way system operation today (Thursday).

They've had to reinstall the road surface where they've been working, which needs times to set properly in order for motorists to use the road safely again.

Engineers will be able to continue their work within the existing lane on the street that's closed.
