Wilton will become a hot bed for live, local music this weekend (Friday 24th and Saturday 25th March), for the first ever Wilton Live event.

It follows the same idea as Salisbury Live, which sees venues host bands and solo artists for a mini-festival feel.

Three shows are being held tonight (Friday 24th) - The Passenger Club are playing at The Bear on West Street; Ribble take the stage at the Pembroke Arms on Minster Street; and Break Cover and Bob Primmer at Wilton Club on North Street.

Entry to all of those events are free.

Then tomorrow (Saturday 25th), a whole day of music's being put on at the Michael Herbert Hall on South Street, between 3.00pm and just after 10.00pm.

Acts on the line-up include Love Is Enough, The Intercepteurs, Pyeshoppe, Kings of Lounge and many more.

Tickets for the day are £7 in advance, through online booking, or £10 on the door.

Co-organiser Thom Belk said:

“We can’t wait to unleash ‘Wilton Live’. After all the build up, it’s exciting to see it all pan out this weekend.

“I’m very proud of the line up we have put together and am very thankful for all of those who have helped us get to this point.

“We hope to see many local fans, not just residents in the town supporting the event.”

The events have also been planned to allow for public transport routes from Wilton, to and from Salisbury - ending before the last Salisbury Reds bus would leave Wilton back to the city centre.
