Salisbury City Council is organising the markets, as an alternative to the Christmas Fair usually held each year.

There's around 60 stalls involved, with a range of craft and gift items for us to stock up on.

Street food stalls will also be in place.

The Markets are being held between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Sunday 6th, Sunday 13th and Sunday 20th December.

Leader of the City Council, Cllr Liz Sirman said:

"I am looking forward to picking up some fantastic gift items at the Sunday Festive Markets. With the unfortunate cancellation of the Christmas Fair, the weekly markets will give people the opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit and do some festive shopping and importantly support local traders during this tough time."

COVID SECURE MARKET

Covid-19 restrictions mean the Festive Markets will be held with social distancing measures in place.

The City Council say we're 'requested to be strongly mindful of government regulations and to remember the importance of Hands, Face, Space'.

They've also asked visitors to be sensible and if a stall appears busy, consider moving on and returning at a later, quieter moment.

WHAT ELSE IS ON?

You might have also noticed that a 'Festive Corner' has popped up in the Guildhall Square over recent days as well.

The space has been hired out from Salisbury City Council for some stalls, a bratwurst stand and a carousel.

That will be open each day from 10.30am until an hour after Salisbury's shops for the evening.
