Father Christmas goes to Naomi House by chopper!
He's made a flying visit to Hampshire's children's hospice
There's been a very special guest at Hampshire children's hospice Naomi House - Father Christmas himself!
The big man's visited the site and given every child with life-limiting conditions staying there a gift, before trying some of their homemade mince pies.
Santa got a lift to the hospice from the Hampshire-based Gazelle Squadron Display Team, who are long time supporters of the charity.
Father Christmas said this about the visit:
“It’s so nice coming back here and putting smiles on everyone’s faces, especially the kids, and even the adults – it’s great to see everyone having fun. We love supporting Naomi House & Jacksplace every Christmas. I’ll have a chat with my friend, the Easter Bunny, and see if he can come again in the Spring! Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year, ho ho ho!”
Claire Potterton, Play and Activities Team Leader at Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:
“It’s a Naomi House tradition that every year, Father Christmas and the Gazelle Squadron Display Team fly into the hospices to meet the families and children and give out early presents. It’s a date that families, children and staff alike always look forward to. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Father Christmas for taking time out of his very busy schedule to spread some very magical festive cheer at our hospices.”
Naomi House and Jacksplace hospices provide care and respite for children and young adults with life limiting conditions, and support for their families.
They take part in lots of festive activities throughout December, to help make stays more magical and create memories.
