The family of a man who died in an incident at a house near Devizes have paid tribute to him.

48-year-old Raymond Jr Groves from Hartcliffe in Bristol was pronounced dead after officers were called to a house in Strawberry Fields in Easterton on Tuesday evening last week (2nd July).

In a statement, his family said:

“In loving memory of Raymond Jr Groves, also known as Boo.

“Raymond Jr was an outgoing and funny person. Always there for people when they needed a chat.

“His family and friends will miss him dearly.”

Three people have been charged in connection with his death.

Helen Shakespeare, aged 53 and from Strawberry Fields, and Anthony Hodges-Hillier, who's 33 and from Brooklands, Royal Wootton Bassett, have both been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

29 year old Letishia Goodwin from Strawberry Fields, has also been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

All three have been remanded in custody to stand trial in February 2025.
