This year's Salisbury Bear Hunt has been hailed a success, with nearly 200 families completing the trail.

100 teddies, all named by Harnham Infant School pupils, hid in city centre shop windows during August.

Those taking part could pick up an entry form from local schools, Salisbury's Library, the Tourist Information Centre and bookshops.

The Hunt, which is in its 8th year, was free to enter, but has also been a fundraiser for the Salisbury branch of Save the Children.

£415 was donated directly into the Post Box for entry forms, with another £554 raised through a JustGiving page.

The cash will go towards the charity's Emergency Fund, to treat children in refugee camps suffering from acute malnutrition.

The oldest entrant was Judy aged 84, and youngest was Callum aged 2.

The first to finish was 6 year old Edith Skinner age 6 after 2 and a half weeks, while one young entrant found all 100 bears in just 7 hours!
