A former member of legendary band Iron Maiden has died at his home in Salisbury.

Paul Andrews, known professionally as Paul Di'Anno, passed away aged 66, with his record label, Conquest Music, making the announcement on behalf of his family.

Di'Anno was lead singer of the Heavy Metal group between 1978 and 1981, singing on their debut album 'Iron Maiden' and the follow up release, 'Killers'.

He had suffered a number of health issues in recent years, which restricted him to performing in a wheelchair, but Di'Anno continued to be on stage - performing over 100 times since 2023.

His first career retrospective album, The Book of the Beast was released in September 2024 and featured highlights of his recordings since leaving Iron Maiden.

The record label ask his fans to raise a glass in his memory.
