Everyman Salisbury opens with 'bar and restaurant experience' on offer
The new venue's opening its doors on Endless Street
Salisbury’s Everyman cinema complex opens today (Friday 2nd June) and the venue manager says he cant wait to welcome people.
Speaking at the opening party on Thursday night, Phil Bendall said:
“The venue looks absolutely amazing and we’re super excited to welcome people into the cinema.”
The Everyman experience is very different to that of other cinemas as Phil told us:
“We offer a full bar and restaurant experience at your sofa.”
The four screens in the complex are kitted out with sofa seats, both singles and doubles, where you are handed a menu to order food and drink, which is brought to you ahead of the feature film beginning.
Salisbury people 'deserve' amazing experience
On the menu is a variety of “Spielburgers”, hot dogs, and sharing plates, including vegan options, as well as cocktails, beers, wines and milkshakes to drink.
At your seat, a snackbox of sweets is waiting for you, along with a bottle of water.
Asked why Everyman chose Salisbury as it’s latest location, Phil said there was a lack of places to go in the evening.
“We feel people of Salisbury deserve an amazing experience and an amazing night out.
“I’ve been in Salisbury for 23 years and as an adult there’s not a huge amount of places to go and this what we’re offering for people to come out to.”
Odeon has been the sole movie-going experience in the City for many years.
The new Endless Street venue takes over the former Gala Bingo hall.
