An 'encampment' in a woodland in Amesbury has been removed by police.

They've 'dismantled' the site within The Lynchets, off the A345 Salisbury Road, yesterday (Tuesday 18th April).

We're told the den had been 'constructed recently' with concerns over anti-social behaviour and drug use there.

Sofas, office chairs, furniture and shopping trolleys had been found and taken away.

Amesbury Police say they'll be patrolling the area regularly over the spring and summer.

They want to see the area 'return to nature'.
