New electric vans added to Salisbury City Council fleet
The authority's aiming to eventually replace all their vehicles
Salisbury City Council's parks team is getting even greener - by adding new electric vehicles to their fleet.
The authority's got four Ford Leader Transits on a 5 year lease.
They've been added to the additional hybrid vehicle, purchased by the City Council in 2021.
The new vans will carry equipment daily for the parks team to carry out their work - like gardening, strimming, pitch marking, safety checks and inspections.
It's all part of Salisbury City Council's push to lower its carbon footprint.
They're hoping to replace all their vehicles with electric powered ones 'as soon as is practically possible'.
