Elderly man rescued from car stranded in water in Downton
The pensioner was stuck in a remote location in the village
Crews from Salisbury and Fordingbridge were called to help an elderly driver stuck in water at Wick Lane in Downton just before 9.00am yesterday (Sunday 20th December).
He was taken to Salisbury District Hospital - there's no update on his condition.
In a post on social media Fordingbridge Fire Station said the man had spent the night trapped in the vehicle in cold conditions.
