Bikes and tools stolen after eight burglaries in Whiteparish in one night
A "community consultation" will now take place
Over the weekend, there were eight non-dwelling burglaries in one night in Whiteparish.
Cars, garages and sheds were among the places broken into either late on Friday night (4th June) or early on Saturday (5th).
Nothing was stolen in many of the incidents, however pedal bikes and power tools were some of the items taken.
BREAKDOWN OF INCIDENTS
Here is the information for all the burglaries that took place:
- Overnight between 04/06 and 05/06 a car parked in Clay Street was broken into and an untidy search carried out but nothing believed to be stolen.
- Between 5.45am and 6.15am on 05/06 a garage in Romsey Road was broken into and power tools were stolen.
- Overnight between 04/06 and 05/06 a van parked in Clay Street was broken into and a pair of glasses and tools stolen.
- Overnight between 04/06 and 05/06 a shed door in Romsey Road was damaged but nothing believed to be stolen.
- Overnight between 04/06 and 05/06 a shed in Highways Way was broken into and three pedal bikes stolen.
- In the early hours of 05/06 an unlocked parked vehicle in Common Road was searched but nothing believed to be stolen.
- Overnight between 04/06 and 05/06 there was an attempted break-in of a workshop in Common Road but nothing stolen.
- Overnight between 04/06 and 05/06 a shed in Dean Lane was broken into and some items believed to have been stolen.

After the spate of burglaries in one night, Wiltshire Police are now holding a "community consultation" for anyone worried.
PCSO John Taylor is holding the event on Thursday (10th June) at Whiteparish Memorial Community Centre at 5pm where people will be able to ask questions and get some crime prevention advice.
