The Early Early Christmas Fair was taken online for the first time in 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, instead of its normal 2 day shopping spectacular at Tedworth Park in Tidworth.

It saw 'stallholders' offer online sales to customers from September to December, with a portion of the proceeds being given to ABF, The Soldiers' Charity.

Organisers have now confirmed that the event raised more than £38,000 for the cause.

As well as the shopping itself to boost the fundraising total, supporters could also take part in a raffle, virtual gin parties and curry nights.

They had their antiques valuated online by Antiques Roadshow expert Marc Allum, and got their hands on signed copies of books by Britain's Got Talent winner, Colin Thackery, as well.

EEC FAIR BACK FOR 2021

The event is still planning to return to its traditional home at Tedworth Park this year, for its 29th outing.

It's due to be held on the 28th and 29th September, with more details to be released soon.

Organisers have also said that there will be an online element to the event again in 2021, as they gained so many nationwide supporters by going online last time around.

Caroline Cary, who's behind the event said:

"I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all you have done to help us - it was a huge learning curve, but we will come back better, stronger and calmer!"
