A man's been given a 17 month ban after being convicted of drink driving through Tidworth.

23 year old Quaid Harkess's car was stopped by Wiltshire Police in Meerut Road on March 1st, initially for a minor traffic offence.

He had four passengers in his vehicle at the time.

Officers then suspected he'd been drinking and he was arrested following a roadside breath test.

Another positive breath test was taken in custody and Harkess, from Castle Donington in Leicestershire, was charged.

He appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court yesterday (Wednesday 12th April) and sentenced to the disqualification as well as being fined £11, and ordered to pay £209 in costs and victim surcharges.
