Hampshire Police have taken to social media to remind drivers that The New Forest isn't a race track.

The county's Roads Policing Unit posted on Twitter yesterday (Thurs 13 Jan) after confirming the death of another pony.

Officers say cars were seen travelling at 60 in 40mph zones.

The New Forest has a mandatory 40mph limit, but despite this many drivers flout the law. A high risk stretch is the notorious B3078 Roger Penny Way which is one of the New Forest’s most infamous roads for animal accidents.
